Dane Svenrou

Dane Svenrou is an abstract artist whose layered portraits explore consciousness, identity, and transformation through vivid colors and form. Working primarily with POSCA paint markers on various surfaces, he merges precision with spontaneity, building visual rhythm through layered linework and texture.

As a stay-at-home dad, Svenrou’s creative process grows out of moments of care, chaos, and reflection and the spiritual journeys of him and those around him. Drawing from personal history, his work bridges the boundaries between inner and outer worlds.

Svenrou’s work embraces experimentation, using color and line as a language of connection and storytelling. Each piece becomes a record of presence—an unfolding exploration of self, ancestry, and the shared threads that link us all together.

Dane currently lives in Springfield, and has exhibited his art at Verum Ultimum Art Gallery and Gallery 114 in Portland.
